What a pleasant and fun filled day at camp today! The blue sky and green grass just poured out God's blessings over us. We had some awe struck kids at camp who could not get enough of this amazing place!

Today God gave us 84 kids and 17 adults from the inner city of Houston. We also had 48 adult/youth volunteers from all over. Out of the kids and adults from Houston who were presented with the Gospel, 19 gave professions of faith in Jesus Christ for the first time! Our Lord in Heaven is so faithful to us!

Thank you so much to all the wonderful volunteers who helped us reach out to these children today. You are all incredible blessings from God in the lives of so many kids. Keep Gospel Lakes in your prayers as we conclude our camp season next weekend.

It was a great day camp at Gospel Lakes! We had so many churches join us in reaching out to kids today! The sky was overcast just enough to keep us cool as we enjoyed God's great outdoors.

God gave us 89 kids and 11 adults from the inner city, and 53 adult/youth volunteers. A young girl even gave a Profession of Faith! How wondrous is He!

We want to extend a huge thank you to all of our volunteers today who helped minister to these children. Keep praying for God's blessings upon Gospel Lakes and salvations a plenty!

Gospel Lakes - Oct. 16th, 2010

Today was a fantastic day camp at Gospel Lakes Ranch! Yet again, God has granted us some marvelous weather. The sky was blue and the smiles were plentiful today. Our volunteers were so focused on the kids and what a great job they did!

God brought us 92 kids and 17 adults from the inner city, and 65 adult/youth volunteers! Of the 109 people from the inner city we ministered to, 34 kids and 6 adults gave Professions of Faith! He moves in such miraculous ways!

Thank you to all of our exemplary volunteers today. You all made a powerful and strong impact the hearts of these children. Keep praying for God's salvation to pour over our planet and Gospel Lakes!

We had an absolutely great time at camp today! Another gorgeous day full of smiles and fun. There were some fantastic volunteers today too!

God sent 85 kids and 11 adults from the inner city, and 77 adult/youth volunteers. Out of the 85 kids, 42 accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior!

Thank you everyone who came out and participated in ministering to all these kids. Remember to keep praying for God's blessing on Gospel Lakes and everyone involved with the Saturday Camps!

We had an awesome day! It was such a gorgeous day and we had some great volunteers who were so hungry to serve!

God provided 66 kids and 46 adults & volunteers!! Out of the 66 children, 17 accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior! (Special thanks to Scott Mittelstedt who did an amazing job in the Chapel today!)

Wow! What an incredible camp we had today! It was such a beautiful day and our volunteers were so willing and full of spirit!

God provided 214 kids and 166 adults & volunteers!! Out of the 214 children, 83 accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior! Praise God for his message of salvation!

We thank everyone who came out and participated in ministering to these kids and forever impacting their lives.

It was an awesome first camp of the season, God provided us with
good weather and amazing volunteers! We had a total of 161 children and 86 adults/volunteers. Out of the 161 children 44 accepted the Lord Jesus as their personal Savior, praise God! Thank you so much to all of our volunteers that help make this ministry possible!

We had a wonderful time serving the Lord at Gospel Lakes today! The camp total today was 223, 130 inner-city children and 93 adults, volunteers and youth. Everyone heard the gospel presentation and 30 children and 1 youth leader made professions of faith for the first time! Praise God and thank you to each and every one of you who gave up a Saturday to come out and serve at Gospel Lakes.

This Saturday turned out to be another fantastic day at Gospel Lakes. Covenant Fellowship Church had a great time reaching out to children in their own area. We had an amazing day of riding horses, paddle boating, fishing, and hearing the gospel message in our chapel sessions. A total of 58 kids heard the gospel and 15 of those children made a profession of faith! We are thankful and we celebrate the new lives that were found in Christ today! Praise God!

What a beautiful day God provided for us to serve Him! We had a camp total of 183 people, 91 of them were children and of those 91 kids 20 of them accepted Jesus as their Savior! Amen! Thank you to all our volunteers that worked so hard today, we are blessed to have you as part of this ministry!

What an amazing day at camp! We had a total of 182 people that came out to enjoy God's creation and share in His love. 87 inner-city children heard the gospel in out chapel activity and 31 of those children received Jesus as their Savior! We also had adults that went through the same chapel activity and 2 responded to the gospel message and now have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ! Amen! Thank you to everyone that gave their Saturday to be here and also a special thanks to Haley Arizmendi's group. Y'all did an amazing job! What an encouragement to see youth working so hard while also having good attitudes and a ton of fun!

Praise God for another great camp day! Over 100 people came for the day, 66 being children. Of those 66 kids, 26 came to Christ during chapel. We are thankful to everyone who came out to help that day. Without your hands and feet this could not be possible. We hope it was as rewarding for you as it was for the kids. Looking forward to next weekend!

Gospel Lakes celebrated this Easter weekend with Champion Forest Baptist Church. It was a beautiful and blessed Saturday. We were so thankful to have them.

It started off when close to 200 kids spread out across the green grass to hunt for colored eggs. After the hunt families and volunteers all gathered to listen to the story of our risen Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The rest of the day was spent in the beautiful outdoors. Riding horses, fishing, jump houses, paddle boats, archery and crafts are just a few of the activities the kids and parents were able to participate in. Everyone gathered under the tent to enjoy lunch (and a little shade) before going back to enjoy the rest of the day.

We are so thankful to everyone who did their part to make this event possible. We also look forward to the opportunities we'll have with CFBC to serve with our camps to inner city kids in the near future.

May you continue to celebrate the freedom we have in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Praise God for such a great camp on Saturday!
Thanks to each and everyone who came out to serve at Gospel Lakes. It was an absolutely gorgeous spring day. Close to 120 people came out including 73 kids from Children's Activity Center. It's amazing to see what the Lord is doing in the lives of children and we praise Him for the oppurtunity for them to hear His Word.

As we end this camp season we are reminded that God is the same yesterday, today and forever. We praise Him for the work He is doing not only in the lives of all the children but also in adults and youth! Today we had a camp total of 119 people with a total of 47 children and 14 of those children received Jesus as their Savior. Thank you to all the volunteers that give their time and love to come help and be a part of this ministry. See you next season!

Today was an amazing day at Gospel Lakes Ranch with a camp total of 198 people. God was truly glorified with the wonderful work that is going on to further His kingdom! We had a total of 59 children and 21 of those children received Jesus as their Savior. Also, 16 adults came to the knowledge of Jesus Christ, Praise God! Wow, what an exciting day with a total of 274 people in all! God was truly here working in the hearts of these kids and even some parents. We had a total of 37 receive Jesus as their personal Savior, Praise God! Thank you for being a part of this ministry and for sharing in the joy of our Lord as we serve Him, God Bless!

Thank you to everyone who came out today, we had an awesome time! Our camp total was 156 people, 91 of them being children. Of those 91 children 38 received Jesus as their personal Savior! It is amazing to see what God is doing in the lives of these kids and the volunteers that help out. We feel blessed to be a part of the great work God is doing through this ministry. Today we hosted 129 children and twenty-seven adults from inner-city Houston. Of that number 43 children prayed to receive Christ! It took a while to get things going because of the Hurricane, but we were so thankful to God for protecting the Gospel Lakes Ranch property.

This first camp day was so much fun! It was so good to get back into the swing of things, and to remember God's grace and mercy that He not only lavishes on us, but which allows us to share it with others.

Occasionally in the summer we are able to offer our facilities to school districts to provide a place for summer school students to come for a day. Here is one such group. We had a lot of fun with them, and spent most of our time fishing and playing in the boats. We recently painted a couple of four square courts in our pavilion. It has been getting a lot of use already this summer.

It was a camp that followed a somewhat different schedule. The group was small enough to go to each activity as one. To end, we had a story and Gospel presentation in the dining room. We had a fun day, and God's word was given to children and adults alike which also made it exciting!

What a fun spring this has been! God has graciously provided the means, helpers, guests, and great weather for every camp day this season. Each week we have seen Him move and work through this camp to reach the lost with the Gospel. Acts 16:31 says, "And they said, 'Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.'" Thank you to everyone for helping in this most noble and most important pursuit of showing Jesus to the world!

Great weather is not a thing to take lightly, especially when the alternative would mean postponing camp. God knows what Gospel Lakes needs to spread His word to the lost, and He will always provide it, whether it be willing hands to prepare and serve the meal, energetic people to play with and care for the children, or even sunshine instead of rain! Each week we are so richly blessed with weather, children, volunteers, and a myriad of small things that work together and make the day a smooth one. Prison Fellowship Announces Partnership with Gospel Lakes!

Prison Fellowship formally announced their partnership with Gospel Lakes in their January 2008 newsletter. Both ministries have set a goal to reach out to 2000 Angel tree kids through day camps at Gospel Lakes. In addition, Prison Fellowship will be providing Life Skill training to the children's caregivers who are able to attend camp.

Gospel Lakes is thrilled to be a part of helping these families with a loved one in prison, it is truly the Body of Christ coming together to help those in need.

God Can!

Can you see a chapel at Gospel Lakes Ranch? God Can! We've started raising funds for construction of a chapel at Gospel Lakes. Presently chapel is held in the hallway of the camp building. Our plan is to construct a new chapel at the highest point at the ranch. Besides the wonderful views and isolation of this area, it will provide a better environment to present the Gospel to all the of the children and adults attending Gospel Lakes. These children need to take a true church experience back with them to the inner city.

Within just a few weeks, there has been over $1,000 raised in the can on the front counter at camp. Please help us by making a one time contribution to the God Can, and help put a chapel at the camp. Today was our last Saturday day camp of the fall season. Children from Clayton Homes and the Missionary Village Apartments attended camp at Gospel Lakes today. The rain held off most of the day with only a few sprinkles keeping the kids cool. A special thanks to the wonderful turnout from Fellowship of The Woodlands and Champion Forest Baptist youth ministries. Also thanks to the Parker, Thigpen, Henderson, and Cossick Sunday School Classes. Our Fall camp season was a remarkable success with over 450 children making a decision for Christ, over 1000 children attending camp, and almost 700 volunteers serving. It is amazing to watch the Body of Christ working together to change our city one child at a time!

Another beautiful Saturday in God's country for over 150 people at Gospel Lakes. Children from the inner city of Houston attended camp today and had a terrific time. Youth and adult volunteers from CFBC and Lakeside Bible Church helped prepare lunch and with the acitivites. Thanks to all the volunteers who help make these camps so special for the children. Also a special thanks to CTIHouston for coming through for us at the last second on the busses.

If you've never been out to Gospel Lakes, please stop by one one of our day camps. You can only get a true feel for what happens out here through the Body of Christ by being here and seeing it for yourself. Once you come out, you'll be back, it's contagious!

An absolutely perfect day today at camp. Children from the 5th ward area of Houston attended Gospel Lakes along with several of their family members. We have truely been blessed with the weather over the fall camp season. A very heartfelt thanks to all of the youth attending from Fellowship of the Woodlands and Champion Forest Baptist Church, and the Ellenberg and Walker Sunday School classes, along with the camp regulars!

Today children from the Aldine area attended Gospel Lakes along with the GA group from Champion Forest Baptist Church. The fall weather finally decided to pay a visit on a beautiful Saturday at Gospel Lakes. Over 200 children, and adult / youth volunteers attended camp today from the 5th Ward and other inner city areas of Houston. Saturday October 6, 2007 Day Camp

Today we hosted our first camp for the Waco Housing Authority. Two charter buses brought a wonderful group of kids and adults from Waco to enjoy Gospel Lakes and a Sidewalk Sunday School presentation, just like the one utilized in the inner city of Houston. Everyone got to enjoy all the normal camp activies, and a fun filled presentation of the Gospel with games and prizes.

A heartfelt thanks to Morris and all the volunteers from Champion Forest Baptist and Tomball Bible Church, and to all the youth volunteers from the same churches. The rain held off and allowed a fantastic afternoon of fellowship.

Today we had 190 children, youth, and adult volunteers attend camp on a hot, but slightly cooler Saturday! Children from the 5th Ward in Houston enjoyed the many camp acitivies, chapel, and of course our famous gourmet hot dog lunch.

Thank you to the numerous volunteers and youth who helped give these kids a memory they won't soon forget! You've made an impact that will be with these children for eternity.

Saturday Sept 15 Day Camp

Today was our first Saturday Day Camp of the fall season. Children from Southwest Houston attended the camp and enjoyed fishing, horseback riding, arts and crafts, face painting, paddleboats, archery, hay rides, storytime, chapel, and a gourmet hot dog lunch.

A special thanks to all of the adult and youth volunteers who gave of their time on a hot September afternoon. You have helped reach out and change the lives of children from your own back yard.
